Austin Retina Associates’ very own Dr. Edward Wood recently had a paper published in the top ophthalmology journal – Progress in Retinal and Eye Research. The paper, “Cellular and subcellular optogenetic approaches towards neuroprotection and vision restoration,” explores how optogenetics can potentially be used to treat a wide range of eye diseases beyond inherited retinal disease.
